MEDIA
The project consisted of exploring different architectural mediums to represent a brief, this included digital and analogue techniques, as well as animation. The precedent that was used for the project was Constant Nieuwenhuys (21 July 1920 – 1 Aug 2005). He was a Dutch painter, sculptor, graphic artist, author, musician and architect. A lot of his work consisted of layering, texture and line work as a form of communication, including a very prominent colour scheme .
My work from inspiration focused a lot on the layering aspect, different material use to create depth within the drawings and models as well as digitally producing line work and compiling into both analogue and digital hybrids to produce output. The final presentation consisted of line and raster engraving the drawings on 2mm acrylic.
